編者按：Ubuntu 顯卡驅動安裝需謹慎，無事別折騰這個，注意注意，本文只做參考。
Ubuntu 12.10安裝完畢後一切運行正常，顯卡也木有啥大問題，就是掛起待機的時候不能恢復，直接黑屏。安裝Ubuntu自動的ati/amd開源驅動出現桌面什麼都木有的問題，一片空白unity根本不會啟動，要是Ubuntu 12.04還能進入unity-2d
只好自己安裝amd卡的驅動
我的驅動型號：AMD Radeon HD 6xxx
官方amd驅動下載地址：http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/linux/Pages/radeon_linux.aspx
官方安裝說明：http://www2.ati.com/relnotes/Catalyst_11.10_Linux_Installer.pdf
步驟如下：
代碼:
$7z x amd-driver-installer-catalyst-12.10-x86.x86_64.zip
代碼:
$sudo sh amd-driver-installer-catalyst-12.10-x86.x86_64.run
提示錯誤：
引用:
One or more tools required for installation cannot be found on the system.
Install the required tools before installing the fglrx driver. Optionally, run the installer with --force option to install without the tools.
Forcing install will disable amd hardware acceleration and may make your system unstable. Not recommended.
See usr/share/ati/fglrx-install.log for more details.
解決如下：
代碼:
$ sudo apt-get update
$yes|sudo apt-get upgrade
$yes|sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic fglrx-updates
完畢後重新執行
代碼:
$sudo sh amd-driver-installer-catalyst-12.10-x86.x86_64.run

安裝完畢在執行下面的命令
For versions of X.Org newer than 7,
代碼:
$sudo /usr/bin/aticonfig --initial
For versions of X.Org older than 7,
代碼:
$sudo /usr/X11R6/bin/aticonfig --initial
最後就是重啟ubuntu 12.10啦
現在掛起待機已經不黑屏啦～～ 爽 I love Ubuntu 12.10
