最近在測試CDN，在配置dns需要whois命令，測試使用的系統是CentOS 6.0，默認沒有whois命令。
使用yum install whois提示找不到這個包。寫此文的目的是讓linux新手熟悉這種情況下如何安裝相應的命令。高手留步。
此時你可以使用yum search package或yum whatprovides filename來搜索相應的軟件包。如：
#yum search whois
……

jwhois.x86_64 : Internet whois/nicname client

當然您可以使用
#yum whatprovides whois //此時輸出的內容很多
#yum whatprovides */bin/whois*

怎麼樣，有的時候使用通配符很有用吧。
#yum install jwhois
Installing : jwhois-4.0-18.el6.x86_64 1/1
安裝後系統/usr/bin下有whois命令啦。當然您還可以下載相應的rpm包或源碼包安裝。
