我的系統是Ubuntu 11.10 32bit.
1. 首先安裝Eclipse 3.7.1，自己從官網下載，記得不要下載帶Java的那種，不然安裝STS時會提示與JEE沖突。用Ubuntu Software Center安裝Eclipse最方便，問題也少。
2. 安裝Grails，這個在STS包裡是沒有的，所以要提前安裝，不然會提示缺少Grails相關的依賴。
3. 按照“STS-installation_instructions.pdf”中的"Installing from the Release Update Site"章節描述，一步一步走下來，OK。
