安裝RedHat Linux AS 5 ：no valid devices were found

網上下了個RedHat Linux AS 5 正式版DVD（md5:9A462D3C60CB219D7017B30DDD1C52CD）

用虛擬機安裝的時候

remove all partitions on selected drives and create default layout.
remove linux partitions on selected drives and create default layout.
use free space on selected drives and create default layout.
create custom layout.

which drive(s) do you want to use for this installation?
當選擇任意一個後出現如下的信息提示：
no drives found
an error has occurred -no- valid devices were found on which to create new file systems. pleae check your hadware for the cause of this problem.

這個是vmware的問題，vmware默認模擬的硬盤是SCSI,www.linuxidc.com但是它模擬SCSI又有問題

解決辦法：
1.到網上下載vmware的SCSI支持驅動，（或者高版本的vmware）

2.重建一個虛擬機，選擇custom方式,在模擬硬盤的選項那改為IDE。

個人推薦使用後者，比較方便，而且模擬出來的硬盤SCSI跟IDE基本上沒什麼速度差異。
