日本Linux開發商Plat'Home推出了能在極熱和極冷環境下使用的Linux服務器OpenMicroServer，這款產品除了價格低之外，體積也非常小，只有一個智能手機大而已。
這個小服務器采用了AMD的 Alchemy (MIPS) CPU（400MHz），內存 128M（PC133 SDRAM），16MB的Flash ROM（可選最高容量8G的固體硬盤），功耗7.6～9.1W，采用的Linux內核版本為2.6.12，有路由、包過濾等網絡功能，支持IPv6，支持Debian和NetBSD系統。
目前它已經通過了一項壓力測試，在50度的環境下良好運行了624天，正式北美市場出貨
